 Seniors

Our Seniors defeated Denn on a 3-7 to 0-10 scoreline in St.Matthew's Park, Crosskeys on Sunday last. Belturbet: Danny Anscombe, Kevin McConnell, Mark Lawlor, Luke Smith, Shane Fitzpatrick(1-0), Niall O'Reilly, John Cahill, Mark Teevan, Cian Vaughan(1-1), Niall Lawlor, Cormac Donohoe, Conal McGinley(0-2), Stuart Dunne, Enda Henry(0-4 3f), Conor Vaughan. Subs: Peter Shannon, Killian Murray, Donal McDonald, Jason O'Reilly(1-0), Brendan Vesey. Our Seniors are back in league action this Friday June 22 at 8pm when they take on Drumalee with the game likely to be played in Packie Devlin Park, Killeshandra.

 

Cavan U14 Girls

Congratulations to Gemma Beatty and the Cavan U14 Girls on their 4-6 to 2-9 All Ireland U14 A Championship Final win over Dublin on Saturday last.

 

Cavan Seniors

Best of luck to the Cavan Seniors who take on Down this Saturday June 23 at 5pm in Brewster Park, Enniskillen.

 

Reserves

Our Reserves defeated Ballymachugh by 2-14 to 1-7 in the in the ACFL Reserve Division 3 League Quarter Final in Sheelin Park yesterday evening. Belturbet lead by 1-8 to 0-4 at half time with the goal coming from Donal McDonald. There was a good spread of point scorers throughout the match with Cian Vaughan, James McCaffrey, Brendan Vesey, Ryan McGovern, Mark Teevan and Donal McDonald all registering points. The Rorys second half goal came from Killian Murray who palmed to the net to put the seal on a ten point victory. Belturbet team: Danny Anscombe, Padraic Rehill, Killian Murray, Luke Smith, Ryan McGovern, Mark O'Reilly, Mark Teevan, Cian Vaughan, James McCaffrey, Brendan Vesey, Ronan Vesey(C), Donal McDonald, Shane Lawlor. Subs: Wayne Harvey, Odhran Traynor, Conor Vaughan. This now sets up a semi final with our opponents to be decided.

 

U15 Championship

Belturbet begin their U15 Division 3 Championship on Tuesday next June 26 at 7.30 p.m when they take on St.Finbarr's.

 

McCaugheys Fuels Kit for Clubs

Belturbet GFC are running with this initiative for the Juvenile Clubs with McCaughey Fuels of Clones. Please help to spread the word to family, friends and neighbours and help us get kit and gear for our underage. With Each Heating Oil Delivery the club will receive 1 token. More details are contained in the posters on club facebook and twitter accounts. There is a box in Gala in town to leave tokens in  and they can also be given to club members.

 

Club Membership
Many thanks to all who have paid their Membership and to those who are on Direct Debit, it is badly needed and much appreciated as it is going directly into the account for the much needed re-development of our club grounds which are underway at present.  Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club.    Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet. This will entitle members to free entry into all Belturbet games at underage and senior level as well as having their name entered into the weekly club lotto draw. If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees for 2018 can be returned  to our club chairman Mark Lawlor, Secretary Paul O'Reilly, Treasurer Alan Traynor or indeed any of the club committee.
