U17 League Div 1 Match Report 24.02.2018

Killygarry V Lough Uachtar Gaels (Butlersbridge & Cornafean) in Crubany

Killygarry played Lough Uachtar Gaels in Crubany on Saturday 24.02.2018, again playing against 2 clubs Killygarry were missing a few players through injury and other sports. Just about fielding a team, Killygarry suffered a huge blow by conceding 3 goals within 5 minutes, this uphill mountain was never going to be climbed.  Half time : Killygarry 0-04 Lough Uachtar Gaels 5-04

The second half was similar to the first with Killygarry barely hanging in and with all interest and morale lost it was a matter of how quick could the referee blow the final whistle . This is a great group of players and have played up the ranks together but the County Board need to address these super teams or the likes of Killygarry's hard work at underage will be ruined. We need to keep our own team going but when the feeling of a no win situation is there and you're not on a level playing field something will give. Final Score:  Killygarry  1-07 - Drumloman Gaels 9-8

Squad on the day: Cormac Lynch, Paul McCabe, Kevin Lovett, Patrick Breslin ( 0-1) , Cian Reilly , Eoin Kelly, Oisin Reilly, James Gannon ( 0-1), Jack Mooney ( 0-4), James Reilly, David Talbot,  Richard Arydele ( 1-0), Oisin Brady (0-2), Darragh Lovett, Mark McDermott and Adam Butt.
