Ballinkillen manager Jimmy Meaney hailed his players' workrate following their SHC win over defending champions St Mullins at the weekend.
A 0-17 to 2-06 win over the champions has sent out a message to their rivals as Ballinkillen continue to bounce back from their opening day defeat to Mount Leinster Rangers.
"We were disappointed with our performance in the second half against Mount Leinster Rangers and we asked the lads for a bit of a response," Meaney told the Carlow Nationalist.
"We got it but we trained hard for the last few weeks. We had a game plan and a fitness regime put in place. Lads are buying into what we are doing which is good."
