Carlow manager Turlough O'Brien is delighted that his side will face either Cavan or Tyrone in round two of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers.

Having seen off the challenge of Wicklow last weekend, O'Brien could have been forgiven for seeking a tie against another division four side.

However, the Carlow manager feels that facing one of the Ulster sides away from home is the perfect test for his confident charges.

"It is a good draw for us," O'Brien told the Carlow Nationalist. "The players are on a high after Saturday night and it is the sort of draw that players dream of.

"This group of players hasn't played a northern team before in the championship so this will give us a real incentive going forward."
