Is Leinster still Leinster?

If Antrim win Saturday night's re-fixed Christy Ring Cup final, there will be teams from all four provinces contesting next summer's Leinster SHC.

Indeed, 33% of the teams taking part would be from outside the province...

By beating Meath in Croke Park, the Glensmen would return to the provincial competition, which currently also accommodates Galway from Connacht and Munster nomads Kerry.

This would mean the field for the 2017 Leinster senior hurling championship would feature six Leinster counties (Kilkenny, Dublin, Wexford, Offaly, Laois and Westmeath) and three non-Leinster counties (Galway, Antrim, Kerry).

Carlow have been relegated, after finishing bottom of the round robin group this year.
