Carlow manager Pat English is adopting the old philosophy of taking the National League Division Two campaign 'one game at a time'.

The Barrowsiders begin with a trip to Newbridge to face Kildare on Sunday afternoon as they look to make the jump up to Division 1B.

With home games against London and Derry being followed by a trip to Antrim before they entertain Westmeath in their last game at Dr Cullen Park, Carlow have an excellent chance of gaining promotion.

Speaking to the Carlow Nationalist, English is adamant that they cannot look beyond the next game, which is the Lilywhites clash.

"Come next Sunday evening, we will focus on the next match and after that the next match. As a group we intend to keep driving on. We will be ready," stressed English.

"Every team has to be treated with respect and we will prepare accordingly. You get the better of teams by treating them with respect and they will surely be doing the same for us."
