Here's the players that stood out for us on the second weekend of Allianz Football League action...

1. Niall Morgan (Tyrone)

Pulled off a vital save to deny Shane Walsh a goal in injury-time of the Red Hands two-point victory in Galway.

2. Colin Walshe (Monaghan)

The Farney County made it two wins from as many outings but Walsh & Co had to be on their toes against Down.

3. Ger Cafferkey (Mayo)

Mayo gave the All-Ireland champions their fill of it and Cafferkey enjoyed a fine outing in the number three jersey.

4. Kevin Toner (Louth)

Toner put in a good shift as the Wee County finished strongly to see off the challenge of Waterford in Carriganore.

5. James McCarthy (Dublin)

The constant probing of McCarthy and his defensive colleagues helped the Dubs break down Mayo's defensive set-up.

6. Mark Craig (Derry)

Derry came away from Breffni Park with a one point win and manager Damien Barton will have been pleased with the performance of centre-back Craig.

7. Aidan Breen (Fermanagh)

Succeeded in curbing the influence of Meath danger man Graham Reilly and also provided an attacking threat for the Ernesiders.

8. Sean McVeigh (Antrim)

The Saffrons are riding high in Division 4 and midfielder McVeigh was the standout performer in their four point win over Wexford.

9. Niall Murphy (Sligo)

The Yeats County lowered Westmeath's colours and midfielder Murphy kicked five points (two from play) for Niall Carew's charges.

10. Niall Kelly (Kildare)

Kildare were quick out of the traps against Offaly thanks to the Athy ace who sent over the first three points of the Newbridge contest.

11. Cathal Cregg (Roscommon)

The Rossies gave their chances of survival in Division 1 a major boost and Kerry struggled to cope with Cregg who raised four white flags.

12. Peter Acheson (Tipperary)

The Premier captain's finger prints were all over Brian Fox's match winning goal against neighbours Clare and he also chipped in with a point for good measure.

13. Odhran MacNiallais (Donegal)

Cork had now answer to Donegal's fine-tuned attacking unit and MacNiallais top scored for the winners with a return of 1-4 from play.

14. Connaire Harrison (Down)

Down's prospects of staying in the top flight don't look too healthy but Harrison showed up well in an improved showing by Eamonn Burns' side.

15. Paul Cahillane (Laois)

Cahillane made no mistake from a 13th minute penalty to send Laois on the road to a deserved Division 2 victory over Armagh.
