Affiliation fees still due
June 10, 2015Carlow County Board treasurer Michael Byrne has revealed that ten clubs have still to pay their affiliation fees for this year.
Byrne was speaking at last week's County Board meeting and he stressed that unless clubs paid up in full in the coming weeks, the county board would be fined €5,000.
The Carlow Nationalist reports Byrne as saying: "Reminders are being ignored. My year as treasurer is ending. We need the money and it would be embarrassing to hand over to a new treasurer if we do not receive it."
