Carlow forward Paul Broderick is still a bit off a comeback.

It was initially hoped that the talented forward would play some part in the league, but that will not happen now.

Broderick has been plagued by injury in recent months and Carlow manager Turlough O'Brien admitted to the Carlow Nationalist that his star forward could be sidelined for another five weeks.

"He is still not right," said O'Brien. "Paul was with a consultant last week and it could take four or five weeks."
