St Mullins' manager Anthony McCormack was keen to deflect praise on to his players following their county SHC final success.
McCormack has now managed teams to county titles in three different counties (Danesfort - Kilkenny, Celbridge - Kildare and St Mullins - Carlow).
However, McCormack stressed to the Carlow Nationalist that it was the players that deserved all the credit for their narrow in over Naomh Eoin.
"I didn't hit a ball out there to be honest with you. Last year was a big disappointment," stated McCormack.
"It was just a case of getting them up for another effort. They put their bodies on the line and the second half performance was massive."
