Naomh Eoin captain Dwain Kavanagh believes that their win over defending champions Mount Leinster Rangers was borne out of hard work.
A 1-11 to 1-08 win has earned Naomh Eoin a place in the final and ended MLR's long running domination of Carlow hurling.
Kavanagh explained to the Carlow Nationalist that the win has been a long time coming as they had been working to that performance for a few years now.
"This has been building. We seem to be a lot hungrier this year. We worked manfully and that is what won it for us," stated Kavanagh.
They now face St Mullins in the final after they defeated 11-man Erins Own in the other semi final.
