Last season's All-Ireland club finalists Mount Leinster Rangers were sensationally knocked out of the Carlow SHC by Naomh Eoin at Dr Cullen Park today.
The Myshall men prevailed on a 1-11 to 1-8 scoreline after leading for most of the semi-final. MLR led by 1-5 to 0-7 at one stage in the first half, but Naomh Eoin recovered to lead by 1-9 to 1-5 at the break and held on for the win in a low-scoring second period.
In the other semi-final, four players saw red as St. Mullin's defeated Erin's Own by 1-14 to 1-6. It will be the first time in 10 years that the final won't involve Mount Leinster Rangers.
