The finalists of this year's Carlow intermediate hurling championship are now known.

Two exciting semi finals were played last weekend with both games being close as the standard in the intermediate grade continues to improve.

Defending champions Carlow Town are out of the race for the title following their 0-18 to 1-13 defeat to Naomh Eoin in a scintillating contest.

While in the second semi final, Mount Leinster Rangers just had enough in the tank to see off old rivals St Mullin's on a scoreline of 1-14 to 1-10.
