Hickey urges people to pick up the whistle
July 23, 2014
Carlow referee John Hickey has stated that the help is there for any aspiring referees.
Hickey took charge of last Sunday's Leinster minor football championship final between Kildare and Dublin, which the latter won comfortably.
A former Carlow footballer, Hickey told the Carlow Nationalist that the facilities are there to help improve any budding referee.
"At the end of the day, if you want to improve yourself, the assessors and Leinster will help you," said Hickey. "It also helps clubs in the county when they have experienced referees in charge of championship games."
