GAA clubs benefit

Carlow GAA clubs were amongst those to benefit from the latest round of Sports Capital Programme grants.

Of the €40 million budget to sporting clubs all over the country, Carlow received over €750,000 of the total.

In all, eight GAA clubs benefited from the funding as the likes of Fighting Cocks, Mount Leinster Rangers, O'Hanrahan's, Rathvilly, Setanta, Tinryland and Cuchullain Rounders club were all beneficiaries of grants.

Carlow GAA received €100,000 for the completion of the county GAA training centre, located in Fenagh.
