Croke Park dream to become reality for Go Games hurlers and footballers

Over 3,000 Under 8's set for Croke Park.
For the seventh year running, Croke Park will play host to over 3000 young under 8 hurlers and footballers from all over Leinster as part of the Leinster GAA Go Games Croke Park Days on July 14/15.

Over 150 clubs will be represented from around the province. The result being over the last seven years every club in the province will have had the unique opportunity playing on the famous turf and this year many will be returning for the second time.

With six Go Games pitches lined out - Croke Park will be a hive of activity accommodating over 200 children per hour.

The unforgettable experience includes preparing for the games in the dressing rooms and is capped off with each team lifting a cup at the presentation area in the Hogan Stand.

Running from 9am to 5pm on both days, an added feature of the Leinster GAA Croke Park Go Games is their partnership with Barrettstown.

On Monday, July 14 at 5pm, a number of families selected to attend by Barrettstown will get the opportunity to also play in Croke Park.

A new feature in 2014 will be the participation of a number of Under 12 rounders teams from around the province.

Leinster GAA, in partnership with Leinster Rounders, will be giving these players the opportunity to play rounders in Croke Park at 4pm on Tuesday, July 15.
