Liam O Lionnain helped himself to 1-3 as Waterford secured a second win of their FL4 campaign against visitors Carlow.

The hosts reeled off five points without reply in the final 15 minutes to deny Anthony Rainbow and his charges who finish bottom place on the table.

With 55 minutes played, the Barrowsiders held a 0-9 to 1-4 advantage but O Lionain and Shane Ahearne led a late scoring burst that saw the Deise take the win.
