Funeral takes place of popular GAA player

The funeral took place of a prominent young GAA player at St Benignus Cemetery in Staplestown, Co Kildare earlier this week.
Martin Sheridan, known to friends as "Chubby", collapsed and died last Friday (September 3rd) hours after playing for his club St Kevin's in a game against Palatine in Carlow.
Despite attempts by paramedics to resuscitate him, the 22-year-old greenkeeper died at the scene.
According to reports, Martin had previously been fitted with a pacemaker because of a heart defect.
Hundreds of mourners, including a 60-strong guard of honour by his fellow members of the St Kevin's club, attended St Benignus Cemetery on Wednesday morning.
