Former dual star Johnny Nevin has been appointed Carlow U17 hurling manager for the coming year.

Nevin starred for the Barrowsiders in both codes throughout the 1990s and also represented Leinster in Railway Cup hurling and football.

Bernard Horohan will manage the Carlow U17 footballers, while Billy Murphy will take charge of the U20 footballers.
