London Camogie
Tara Camogie Club, London welcome new players and members all year round. We have both Junior and Senior teams so all standards catered for.

Current Club members range in age from 12 years to 40+ with many of the younger crop of players playing camogie as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme. These younger players can play competitive games in our Junior team and subject to numbers, our aim is to start an underage team.

Also welcome on the Junior squad are girls that played underage or junior grade in Ireland. A fair amount of our current members played camogie during primary/secondary school age and then didn't pick up a hurley again until they arrived in London. Training sessions will soon build up the fitness levels and sharpness with the sliotar.

Tara's Senior team then of course caters for the more able and experienced players. The London County camogie team also offers an outlet for these girls to compete at a higher level against Irish opposition representing London should they wish.

Contact: Sheila - 0777 1957 341 or 020 8561 3544. Further details can be found at www.camogie.co.uk

Ulster Premier League
Glad to see the new registration system!

Well the Ulster Premier League is well under way and already a few shocks. Rossa beaten by POrtglenone! Is it the end of an era maybe? Liatriom have been surpassed by Clonduff in Down. Maybe it's time for a new champion in Antrim???

Any predictions for the winner this year? Clonduff or Loughgiel in the other section maybe to meet Rossa/POrtglenone in the final?

What do you think?

Celtic Festival - Glasgow, October 3-5 2008
Glasgow Women's Celtic sports Festival

The Tir Conaill Harps GAC is delighted to announce the dates for the third annual women's Celtic sports festival, which will be held over the weekend of 3rd to 5th October. The festival theme is to raise the profile of women's gaelic sports both within the Harps club and also to the wider Glasgow community. The festival will include it's usual programme of camogie and ladies football tournaments. coaching workshops and not forgetting the very popular Festival Hooley.

Last year nine clubs from Ireland and Scotland took part, which was a big increase on the inaugural year. We hope to build on that success with even more teams this year. Further details are available from camogiestars@hotmail.com or on 00 44 780 1546663. Regular updates will also appear on the club website www.conaill.fsnet.co.uk
