Antrim club pays tribute to popular camogie coach

All Saints GAC in Ballymena have expressed their deep sadness following the untimely death of camogie coach Orlaith O'Kane.

The 41-year-old former Cushendall camogie player, who coached underage players in All Saints, passed away on Sunday night following a battle with cancer.

Her heartbroken club took to Facebook to pay tribute to Orlaith:

"It is with deepest sadness that I write this message. Our dear friend and club juvenile coach Orlaith O'Kane (nee Graham) passed away last night, Sunday 26th August. We send our condolences to Orlaith's husband Michael our Juvenile Chairman and past club player, and to their children Anna and Meabh, also club players; you are all in our thoughts.

"Orlaith served Oisin's Glenariff and Cushendall with distinction and was a passionate coach of our young Camogs. Orlaith will be deeply missed by her family and large circle of friends.

"Orlaith will be waked at 9 Brigadie Crescent from 6pm Monday 27th August. Family only 11pm to 11am.

May she Rest in Peace."
