GAA on TV this weekend: ten games to watch live

The live cameras will be out again at GAA venues around the country this weekend.

It's going to be a massive August Bank Holiday weekend of GAA.

In all, there are ten games to watch live on television across two days.

Saturday sees the intriguing Super 8s clash between Galway and Monaghan. The first championship meeting of the Tribesmen and the Farney County in 80 years.

The Salthill fixture is being aired by Sky Sports who are also showing the other All-Ireland SFC Quarter-Final Phase 3 Group 1 tie, Kerry v Kildare, in Killarney. Both games throw-in at 6pm.

Meanwhile, TG4's coverage of the U21 Hurling Championships continues with a double-header of action at Nowlan Park. Cork and Wexford meet in the first of this year's All-Ireland A Semi-Finals at 4pm and that will be preceded by Derry v Kerry in the All-Ireland B Final (2pm).

Elsewhere, on Saturday, RTE are broadcasting two All-Ireland Camogie Senior Championship Quarter-Finals from Pairc Ui Chaoimh one after the other (Tipperary v Waterford, 5.30pm; Dublin v Galway, 7.15pm).

Sunday is a huge day with the All-Ireland SHC Semi-Final Replay taking place in Thurles, the GAA's birthplace, 100 years on from Gaelic Sunday. Both RTE and Sky Sports will be at Semple Stadium for the second installment of the Tribe and Banner men which throws in at 2pm.

RTE have a packed schedule for Sunday afternoon as the national broadcaster will also be airing Donegal's eagerly-awaited all-Ulster joust with Tyrone as well as the Super 8s final round 'dead-rubber' involving Dublin and Roscommon at Croke Park. Both games throw-in at 3.30pm.

Earlier in the day, TG4 will show live coverage of Kildare v Mayo in the All-Ireland U21FC Final (1.15pm). The inaugural decider at GAA headquarters is sure to whet the appetite of armchair viewers ahead of a bumper afternoon.

TG4, 9.25pm: GAA - Club na mBan
'GAA - Club na mBan' focuses on women and Gaelic games - those who spend their lives on both the sidelines as supporters and on pitches as players. In the first episode we meet Cork sporting legend Rena Buckley as she struggles to manage her own business and keep up with her punishing training regime. We join All-Star Sinéad Finnegan on home ground at her club Fingallians, where she reveals her big dream for the season ahead. Ruth and Michelle get stuck into preparations for the annual Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta. Series 1, Episode 1
