Big Meath involvement in Western Australia SF final

The Greenwood squad

The Western Australia Senior Football Final takes place this Saturday August 26th. 

Greenwood GFC take on Southren Districts in the decider. There are no less than eight Meath men involved with the Greenwood squad.

St Ultan's Shea McLoughlin is the team manager while Skryne's Matthew Bissett is a selector. Greenwood have been very impressive on route to the final and include six Royal club footballers in their ranks. Defenders Ger Crehan (Ballinabrackey), Darren Hand (St. Vincents), Terry Hetherton (Curraha) and forwards Sean Mallon (Curraha), Daryl McLoughlin (St. Ultans) and Tommy Smith (Cortown).

There are 3 Finals down for decision, Coastal Breakers v Morley Gaels in the Ladies Plate Final, St Finbarrs v West Shamrock/Greenwood in the Ladies Final and the main event of the day which is the senior decider. Proceedings get underway at 12.30pm at the Tom Bateman Sporting Complex.
