Double boost for Wexford

Wexford manager John Meyler
Stephen Nolan and Barry Lambert have handed Wexford manager John Meyler a double boost by returning to fitness ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland hurling quarter-final against Waterford.
Lambert played a full part in the Model County's 1-21 to 1-22 challenge match defeat to Clare at Templemore last Saturday morning, while fellow attacker Nolan was introduced during the second half.
Lambert has been sidelined since the start of the year because of a groin problem but the injury has cleared up after he received treatment from London-based chiropractor Richie Lanigan, who is a former schoolmate of Meyler's.
Nolan has recovered from a broken thumb which had ruled him out for the last six weeks and Meyler confirmed that he will have some part to play against Davy Fitzgerald's men.
On the minus side, full back Keith Rossiter, Ciaran Kenny, John O'Connor and MJ Furlong will miss the game due to injury.
Meyler is confident that Wexford can build on an encouraging first half display in the Leinster final defeat to Kilkenny against their more fancied Munster opponents.
"I'd always be optimistic every time we go out. We try to improve all the time and after the Leinster final, where we played for the first half and five minutes into the second half, we want to take that level up from 40 minutes to 55 or 60," he said.
"Some people said to me that they saw some of the best hurling from Wexford in 10 years and that gives us hope and confidence."
