U14 Hurling : Our next game in the U14 Hurling Championship will be on Mon 21st July at 7pm away V Drom/Broadford. Having had two wins out of two games in this Championship so far we must continue with training and try for our third win. U14 Football Championship: In Round 4 of the West Football Championship we played Adare in Neville Park on Friday night 11th July. This turned out to be an enjoyable encounter with our lads on the winning side with a score of 3:14 against Adare's 3:01. Well done to all concerned. In Round 5 of the championship we will play Newcastle West on Mon 28th July away. U14 Football League Final: We shared top place with Fr. Casey's in the Group 1 West Football League. The West Final of this competition is taking place at last this week on Tuesday in Coolcappa at 7pm. Results next week. U16 Football Our next U16 Football game will be on tonight 16th away against St. Patrick's at 7.30pm. Cars will leave from the Square at 6.15pm. Players need to confirm this fixture before travelling. U16 Hurling We sadly had to give a walk-over to Cappamore for our game on last Wed 9th July. This was a major disappointment for team managers and the players who were assembled to travel to Cappamore. At this time of the year with many players away at Irish College and holidays, it is imperative that all available players make a special effort to attend. Training will continue at the usual time and our next game will be at Neville Park on 23rd July V Castletown/Ballyagran @ 7.30pm Minor 12-a-side Hurling Our next game in Minor Hurling is due to be on this Friday 18th July V Castletown/Ballyagran in Neville park. Minor Football We played St. Senan's in Minor Football on Tuesday 8th July at Cappagh GAA field. Barry Dillon's brigade played a great team game and had a good win over St. Senan's. Training continues on Monday nights. U21 Hurling 12-A- Side: This competition will start next week with our 1st game against St. Kieran's on 22nd July. Having played U21 Hurling as a combined team joined with Croagh/Kilfinny for the past two years, under the banner of "Mick Neville's", our lads have this year opted to enter the 12-a-side Competition. It is a new challenge and hopefully all relevant players will make themselves available. Junior B Hurling We played a Championship game in Jun. B Hurling against Ganagh/Ballingarry in Knockaderry on last Thursday 10th July. It proved to be a disappointing performance for St. Mary's with our score showing 0:10 to the neighbours' more impressive 2:13. This week our Jun. B's will play Killeedy in Knockaderry on Sun. at 7.30pm. Training continues at the usual time. Junior A Football Sean Finn's Junior A Football Team are due to ply Glin and Monagea in the West championship. These games are still to be fixed by the West Bord. U12 Hurling : The U12 Hurling Summer League will begin on Sat. 19th July and continue throughout the summer every second Saturday until Mid-September. Registration Our club Registrar, Philip O'Donnell is finalizing the registration of all members for 2008. He needs to collect as a matter of urgency all outstanding fees from both adult and underage players. If you have not already paid your fee please do so immediately to Philip or your team manager. Fees have stayed the same as last year at ?15 for over 18 members and ?8 for under 18 members. Congratulations to our West Limerick U14's Football members: Congratulations to our U14 footballers who represented Seán Finn's and West Limerick in the Mark Ryan Memorial Tournament held in Askeaton recently. The West Limerick team managed by Tom White along with Michael Meade and Milo McMahon, were narrowly beaten in the final. It was indeed an honour for Seán Finn's to have been represented by 8 of our Bord na nOg players in this first year of the tournament held in memory of Mark Ryan, RIP who himself played and refereed Bord na nOg games with distinction so very recently. The following players did us proud on the day: Paul White, Conor Lyons, Eoin O'Donnell, Frank Geary, Martin Roche, Ciaran English, Sean Stackpoole & Adrian Stackpoole. Congratulations & Best Wishes: Congratulations to Donal Garvey and his beautiful bride on their becoming Mr. & Mrs. at their wedding in Rome recently. Wishing you both every happiness and success. Congratulations also to all involved in Rathkeale Community Games and their wonderful achievement in having five teams taking part in the Munster Finals last Saturday. It was a remarkable feat to achieve three sets of gold medals in team events and you are all wished every success in the National Finals in Mosney.
