Kilcoole Camogie News

July 14, 2008
Although playing well in both games, our U14s and U12s lost their League games this week. We defeated Glenealy in our first U14 League game of the season but Glenealy won the return game on a scoreline of 5-7 to 2-0. This was a great performance from a Kilcoole team showing at least six changes in personnel from the first game. The U12s were also short because of holidays but put up a great fight against Annacurra. This was a most entertaining game. It was score for score until the last 10 minutes when the visitors pulled away. The U16s did not play on Wednesday as Kiltegan could not field. On Thursday, our Internmediates had a convincing win against Naomh Padraig, Palmerstown in the Dublin League. Next week's opposition is Ballyboden St. Enda's. On Friday, the U12A team travel to Knockananna and the B team entertain Ballinacor at home. Our U10s play in the County Blitz on Saturday. This will be in Aughrim starting at 10.30am. Exciting news for U14 and U16 players comes to us in relation to the Wicklow Camogie Academy which will be held on August 12th, 13th and 14th. More news of this next week.
