Baltinglass seek advancement in refixture
July 11, 2008
Defending champions Baltinglass and Coolkenno are expected to finally get together in warm sunshine on Saturday to fulfil the second round senior championship football fixture, when the game takes place in Arklow at 18.00.
Mick O'Hagan will not be impressed if the heavens again open on these two teams as he wants the last game in the 2nd round completed before the Tommy Murphy Cup inter-county encounter against Waterford. He will be urging them to do what Rathnew and Ashford did in the rain, play the game. Balto showed in the opening game against Newton, particularly in the closing stages of that game that they do mean business again this year. He forward line when on song of Ciaran Walsh, John McGrath, John Kelly and Henry Sinnott in particular could be quite a threat.
Coolkenno are not without experienced players also and the likes of Paddy Dalton, Don Jackman, Colm Murray, Stevie Cush and Jim Cushe will no doubt try to instil confidence in the rest of their team mates.
