The u-12 football team beat Tamoghn-Camross 2-12 to 1-2, good performances on the day came from Geariod Cullen. Paul Murphy, Mark Kinsella and Paddy Nolan. Best of Luck to Conor Hughes who was picked to play for Wexford u-15 football team and will travel to Kerry this week to be coached by the Kerry football manager and play games against Kerry North and South. Congratulations also to Jason Redmond who represented the club, playing for Wexford at half time in Croke Park at the LSH final.
All-Ireland Success
Congratulations to the U-11 hurling team who won the Leinster final in the community games, Saturday last.They bet Naas in the Semi-Final 6-9 to 1-7, they then went on to the final to play Birr where at half time the trailed by two points on a scoreline of 3-2 to 3-5 in Birrs favour, they then held Birr to scoring only 1 point in the second half and the Gorey boys had a clear victory by 5-8 to 3-6. Well Done Lads!!! There was a whole team effort on the day and great support from those who travelled to the games.
They will now go on to repesent Leinster in the All-Ireland on the weekend August 22th-24th. The panel was as follows: 1.Jack Cullen 2.Robert O'Conner 3.Seamus O'Donnell 4.Evan Dwyer 5. The U-14 team spent the weekend in Cavan and beat all 3 teams in their group but were defeated in the All-Ireland semi-final by North London. A tremendous weekend was had by all. The club would like to thank the Bawnboy Club in Cavan for the exceptional hospitality they gave at the weekend. Thanks to all the parents and supporters who travelled and a special thanks to Eric cullen, John O Brien (Cork), Podge Cronin and John O Brien (Ramsfort)for all thier hard work with the boys.
Naomh Eanna had 5 winners in the Model county development Draw this month, they were Martina Monaghan c/o Curvy Chick (Ä1500), Pat Walsh, Ballycanew (Ä1000), Mary Vaughan, Monaseed (Ä200), Jerome Fitzgearld, Clonattin (Ä200), Peter Travers, Gorey Hill (Ä200).
There was no jackpot winner this week in the clubs weekly lotto, the jackpot now stands at a record amount of Ä10,000.
