The recent Football Marathon was great success and raised much needed funds for the club, anyone with outstanding cards should return them as soon as possible. The clubs Golf Classic is scheduled for the 1st of August. This is the clubs first such classic and will hopefully be an annual event. the entry fee for a team of 4 is .200 and tees can be sponsored for .75. Take up on both has been strong, so those interested in participating or sponsoring should contact any committee member as soon as possible as availabilty is limited. Also as part of our fundraising efforts, 2 club members are intending to participate in the New York City Marathon later this year. Watch this space for further details! The Junior hurlers began their championship season in fine fashion, turning in a fine performance against OLI last Friday. They hurled with great gusto and committment in the monsoon like conditions to pick up the points. In the coming months the club is hoping to keep everyone up to date with all grades and codes through our blog page, http://volunteersgaa.blogspot.com. On Monday evenings from 6-7 there is U-10, U-12 and U-14 boys hurling. From 7 until 8 there is girls football all ages and from 8-9 pm there is boys Minor football. On Tuesday's from 6-7pm there is U-12 boys football. Thursday from 6-7 there is U-10 boys football. From 6-7 on Friday evenings there is Super 7's football and hurling. On Saturday there is girls football from 12-1pm for all ages. All are welcome. Training for all adult teams continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm at Pairc Garman.
