Blessington Club Notes
July 07, 2008
The Cul Camp gets underway this week up at the new playing fields, with all the kids learning the skills of the game. We hope they all enjoy their time and make great friends.
Last Tuesday, members of the G.A.A. Committee met up with the local Tidy Towns Association. This is judging week and the members of the Tidy Towns have been working furiously for weeks. The contribution they make to Blessington must be commended, and we felt that we should help them too. Working to make our town a beautiful area should not take place only for the judging of this competition, but all year round. We ask all residents and businesses to give a helping hand. A lot can be achieved when everyone works together.
The Senior Ladies made a trip to A.S.H. Animal Sanctuary in Rathdangan on Saturday morning to help out, walk the dogs and give some cuddles! Owner Remi, gave us an introduction to the amazing work they do and introduced us to all their animals. This is such a worthy cause that we ask everyone to support. A few bob or a few minutes of your spare time really makes a difference. You can make donations to A.S.H. via their website www.ashanimalrescue.com. To see pictures of this event, please log on to our website.
The West Wicklow will be hosting a quiz night for Blessington G.A.A. this Thursday, 10th July. Please show your support and put in a team for what will be a great night.
Finally, we are delighted to announce that our new website has had over 1,400 visitors since its launch in April. We thank everyone who has showed great interest and we encourage you to keep logging on for new photos, events, news and extras. www.blessingtongaa.ie or www.blessington.wicklow.gaa.ie
