Sheehan looking for direct route

Kerry's Bryan Sheehan
Kerry attacker Bryan Sheehan has stressed the importance of Sunday's Munster SFC final as Kerry look to successfully defend their provincial crown against their old rivals Cork. The St Mary's, Caherciveen sharpshooter believes a place in the quarter-final is crucial to the Kingdom at this stage as it will see them avoid any tricky ties in the All-Ireland qualifiers. "It's very important as the winners go straight to the quarter-finals. You've five weeks to prepare and you can get some serious training done in that time. If you lose you're in the qualifiers and there's a lot of strong teams there, so you could be drawn away against someone like Tyrone or Donegal. Everyone wants the direct route." Incidentally, Sheehan has just taken up an employment position as a quantity surveyor with a company in the Rebel County this week.
