O Se on course to face Rebels

July 01, 2008
Darragh O Se is set to hand Kerry a massive boost ahead of Sunday's Munster SFC final against Cork by returning to training tonight. The long-serving midfielder picked up a leg injury in the semi-final win over Clare and aggravated the injury when he played in a recent challenge match against Meath in Templemore. But despite missing out on three training sessions in the past week, he expects to be fully fit for the Pairc Ui Chaoimh showdown with the Rebels. With key forwards Paul Galvin and Declan O'Sullivan ruled out through suspension and injury respectively, Darren and Sean O'Sullivan are expected to fill the wing half forward positions, either side of Eoin Brosnan. A third change could see All-Ireland under 21 winning captain Killian Young return to the defence in place of Tommy Griffin. Kerry manager Pat O'Shea will finalise his team on Thursday and is expected to hand the captaincy to Tomas O Se in Galvin's absence.
