Officials threaten walk-out

GAA officers in East Kerry are reportedly threatening to walk out of their positions due to a severe fixtures backlog. The divisional board officials will meet with County Board representatives to thrash out a deal and hopefully avert the protest, which would have a significant knock-on affect not just in East Kerry but throughout the Kingdom. Games cannot be played in the division because of the involvement of intercounty players with the Kerry senior panel. The inactivity is giving rise to widespread frustration.
