The O,Donovan Rossa junior footballers resume championship action when they meet Clonakilty in the second round of the South West junior football championship at Rosscarbery this Saturday, June 14, at 8pm.
The junior footballers who were defeated by four points in their first round championship clash with St. Mary's warmed up for this Saturday's vital championship encounter with a narrow two point league win over Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh, in the Rossa Park last Tuesday evening.
Skibb held a three point advantage at half time after a good first half performance. Skibb held off a spirited second half revival from Caheragh to emerge victorious on a 0-11 to 0-9 points scoreline after a hard fought competitive game.

The third round senior football championship clash against Duhallow has been scheduled for Saturday, June 21, in Macroom at 8pm.
The junior hurlers defeated Clonakilty last Saturday night by five points in a home league fixture on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-12. The sides were level at the interval but the introduction of Kevin Cotter at half time was to prove an inspired move as he scored 1-6 in a flawless second half display to inspire Skibb to victory.
This win moves Skibb up to second place in the league table with two outstanding league games to play against Newcestown and Dohenys. Gearoid O'Driscoll scored the other Skibb goal.

There was no winner of the lotto draw which took place in the Fairfield Bar last Monday night for E11,250.
The numbers drawn were 19, 22, 23 and 24. The consolation prize winner was Kay Daly. Next week's
lotto draw will be held in the Horse and Hound Bar and will have a jackpot of E11,500.
