Derry's Fergal Doherty
Fergal Doherty insists that Derry have left their National Football League celebrations behind them and are now fully focused on their Ulster championship showdown with Donegal in Ballybofey. Speaking after receiving his Player of Month award in Dublin on Wednesday, the big midfielder said: "We had a night out after the league win and the players had a bit of craic. "We did celebrate it. The league went well and we something out of it. It was nice to get a bit of silverware after a few years. But the celebrations are well and truly over. "We sat down on the Tuesday after it and said that was it. At the end of the day, nobody remembers the tema that won the league. "We won leagues all round the place in the 1990s but never made the same impact on Ulster. Maybe that's what our main priority is now." He added: "Donegal have been quiet. We played them in the last game of the league. Both teams were missing a player or two but in the second half it was very tight. "We expect that up in Ballybofey."
