Rising Wexford football star Shane Roche's proposed transfer from Geraldine O'Hanahran's to Gusserane has been referred to the Leinster Council. Roche, who has made a big impact for the Wexford under 21 and senior sides this year, had his transfer blocked last month following a successful appeal by O'Hanrahan's against the Wexford transfer committee's decision to approve the move. But at last Tuesday night's county board meeting, chairman Ger Doyle explained that new evidence had come to light, particularly regarding the affidavit which was presented at the last meeting, and that Roche was appealing the refusal decision to the Leinster Council. Doyle said: "I've seen the appeal from Gusserane this morning (Tuesday). I believe there's little we can do now and that it would be a matter for Leinster Council." Tweet
