Handy All-Ireland beckons for Cork or Kilkenny

July 17, 2017

Cork and Kilkenny will meet in the All-Ireland IHC final at the new Páirc Uí Chaoimh next Sunday.

Cork and Kilkenny will meet in the All-Ireland IHC final at the new Páirc Uí Chaoimh next Sunday after playing just one game between them.

Kilkenny defeated Wexford to win the Leinster title last week, while Cork have reached the decider without pucking a ball. The Munster IHC was replaced this year by a new U25 competition which was won by Limerick.

The All-Ireland IHC final, which throws in at 2pm, will act as a curtain-raiser to the All-Ireland SHC quarter-final between Waterford and Wexford.

Meanwhile, Páirc Uí Chaoimh will open its doors for the first time since its redevelopment on Wednesday night when spectators at the Cork Premier IHC game between Valley Rovers and Blarney will be given access to the entire stadium.
