Callanan and Fenton shortlisted for RTE award

Tipperary hurler Seamus Callanan and Dublin footballer Brian Fenton are among the nominees for the RTÉ Sport Awards Sportsperson of the Year.
Kilkenny camogie star Denise Gaule and Cork ladies football ace Bríd Stack are also on a shortlist that includes world boxing champion Carl Frampton, UFC king Conor McGregor and Olympic rowing silver medalist Paul O'Donovan.
Voting is open to the public to choose who they want to win ahead of the awards ceremony on RTÉ One at 9pm on Saturday, December 17. Nominees and voting details for both the Team of the Year and Manager of the Year awards will be announced later.
