Ramor United defender James McEnroe admits he doesn't know what to expect this Sunday when the newly crowned Cavan champions travel to take on Armagh counterparts Maghery.

The Virginia club won its first county senior title since 1992 last Sunday with a 0-10 to 0-8 replay victory over Castlerahan and will take on the Orchard County champions this weekend after the latter defeated Cullyhanna (conquerors of Crossmaglen) seven days previous.

"I must admit I don't know much about Maghery, but come Wednesday night we'll be back at training and looking at them," McEnroe told The Irish News.

"It's my first time in the Ulster senior championship - I've played minor and U21 and hopefully we can push on. We're looking forward to the challenge ahead."

McEnroe is hopeful that Ramor's bench will play another pivotal part for them again on Sunday, having been so instrumental in the two-point victory over their neighbours last weekend.

"There are a lot of young lads in our team and they have got the experience of winning a replay now," said the Cavan defender.

"They've really stood up this year - it's unbelievable the difference in them from last year to this year - the likes of Brian O'Connell and the Magees they've been unbelievable for us this year and we've got more young fellas coming through that were on the bench."

Throw-in for Sunday's game at the Athletic Grounds is at 2.30pm.
