Lynskey: rules aren't fair

Jeff Lynskey has criticised the Hurling/Shinty playing rules, arguing that they're stacked heavily in Scotland's favour.

The Ireland joint-manager and 2015 Galway All-Ireland minor winning boss was speaking after his side's 0-5 to 0-14 defeat to the Scots in Inverness on Saturday.

"In fairness to our lads, they kept on going, but just didn't convert. We had 13 wides. We didn't convert any of our frees either," he told the Irish Daily Mirror.

"All being told we are conceding too much ground to Scotland in terms of the rules - puck outs off a tee. Our frees are a point whereas they are getting two, and it's just becoming very difficult at this stage to score.

"Scotland got a few home town decisions as well. Today was a bit over the top really regarding the (David Reidy) goal that was disallowed. The two umpires didn't give it, but the ref disallowed it from 50 yards away."
