St Mullin's Seamus Murphy believes that they have not done themselves justice in the Leinster club SHC.

Having won the Carlow SHC for the third time in a row, St Mullins have experience in the provincial campaign.

But their last two runs in the Leinster club SHC ended at the first hurdle and Murphy would love to go further this year.

Speaking to the Carlow Nationalist, he said: "I suppose in 2014 we were just focused on getting the county title and we were a bit immature in that game up in Westmeath.

"Last year was one of those days and it went against us. Even in 2010 we lost to Glenealy in the intermediate.

"We know we haven't performed in Leinster at all. The team is here, the players are here to push on and get over that first hurdle. We'll be focused on that and we know it's something we have to put right."

St Mullin's will face the Westmeath champions Clonkill or Raharney at Cusack Park, Mullingar on Sunday, November 6th.
