Cargin "want to give it a good go"

Cargin players celebrate.

Kevin O'Boyle says Cargin are hoping to string together a run in the Ulster Club SFC.

The Erin's Own men retained their Antrim title with a convincing victory over St Galls on Sunday and will enter the Ulster club championship at the quarter-final stage on October 30th against the winners of Friday night's Tyrone SFC final replay.

"Whoever we are playing, we know it's going to be tough," O'Boyle told The Irish News. "We're playing the Tyrone champions and whoever wins their championship will be worthy winners. We are going to have to be on top of our game, but the experience we got last year should stand us in good stead. We'll enjoy this for a couple of days, but I have no doubts John Brennan will have us tuned in for the task ahead.

"Last year we played Crossmaglen in Ulster and it was a big learning curve for us. We'll just go back to the drawing board now because we don't want to lose in the first round of Ulster again this year. We want to give it a good go."
