It seems all isn't well in Derry football.

A week after Damian Barton was reappointed manager for a second year, the Irish News is today reporting that up to eight players won't be making themselves available for selection next year. The newspaper doesn't name any of the players, but says they were all championship regulars in the last two seasons.

After making a poor start to this year's championship when they suffered a heavy first round defeat to Tyrone in the Ulster SFC, the Oak Leafers regrouped well under Barton to reach the last 12 of the All-Ireland SFC. They defeated Louth, Meath and Cavan along the way before finally losing to Tipperary by a last-minute point.
