There was a narrow escape for GAA fans on their way to the Cork SHC semi-final double-header at Pairc Ui Rinn today.

The Irish Independent is reporting that two men have been arrested after a car chase ended when a car crashed at approximately 2pm outside the stadium.

The vehicle had been driven at high speed in close proximity to the venue for today's Erins Own versus Midleton and Douglas versus Glen Rovers last four encounters.

The Garda operation caused minor delays for supporters attending the games but, thankfully, no one was injured.
