Cork hurling may be struggling at senior level, but that's certainly not the case at underage level.

The Rebels are this evening celebrating a unique underage treble, capturing the U14 Tony Forristal and Sonny Walsh Cups in Waterford and the U16 'A' Arrabawn title in Tipperary.

In the Tony Forristal final at Walsh Park, the Cork youngsters powered to a 4-7 to 0-4 victory over Wexford. Callum O'Shaughnessy's brace of first half goals gave them a 2-3 to 0-1 lead at the interval, and it was all over bar the shouting when Adam Cantwell grabbed their third goal early in the second half. It was the Rebels' third time to win the prestigious tournament in four years.

Earlier, Cork's other U14 team in Waterford completed a three-in-a-row of Sonny Walsh Cups when defeating Kildare by 5-14 to 1-7. Just three points separated the sides - 1-7 to 1-4 - at half-time before the Leesiders took total control in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Rebels' U16 hurlers just missed out on another double at the Arrabawn tournament. They accounted for Galway by 2-8 to 1-8 in the 'A' final, but succumbed to the host county by 1-7 to 3-14 in the 'B' John Doyle final.

In the Arrabawn Shield final, Offaly overcame Limerick by 0-13 to 0-8.
