The All-Ireland Poc Fada finals will be held in the Cooley Mountains this Saturday (July 30th).

Competitions will be held at senior hurling and camogie level and also at u-16 in both codes.

Tipperary's Brendan Cummins will be going all out to win his sixth title in a row and an unprecedented 10th title overall.

It's expected he will be pushed all the way by Colm Callanan (Galway) and James McInerney from Clare.

The field will be made up of the four provincial champions and runners-up.

Former winner Gerry Fallon (Roscommon) will be attempting to re-live his success of 2009 and Aaron Murphy from Limerick will be hoping to become the first player to win an u-16 (2007) and senior title.

Cathal Kiely (Offaly), younger brother of Cillian winner in 2011 and 2012, will be endeavouring to create history by winning the u16 title, they would become the first same family members to win the title.

There will be a new name on the Senior Camogie cup as seven-time winner Patricia Jackman (Waterford) will not be defending her title.

The 2016 Hall of Fame recipient Finbarr O'Neill (Cork) who won the competition fifty years in 1966 will be in attendance.

A minutes silence will be held in memory of two former GAA and Poc Fada stalwarts Peter Hoey and Patsy Mulholland who both passed away recently.

Proceedings will commence at 12.00am.
