Sligo veteran Mark Breheny is in no hurry to make a decision on his inter-county future.

The St Mary's clubman captained the Yeats County and earned his 51st championship appearance in the All-Ireland SFC qualifier defeat to Clare earlier this month.

Breheny has been one of the best forwards that the county has ever produced, but he admitted to the Sligo Champion that he has much to consider over the coming weeks.

"Every year, it becomes more difficult and especially now with the extra pressure with work and family," said Breheny.

"I haven't discussed it yet with my wife or family so we will sit down I am sure and have a chat about it, but I haven't fully decided."

Breheny added that manager Niall Carew and his management team have done a brilliant job since they came in.

"Niall has been great for Sligo. In many ways his hands were held because of retirements and other guys who couldn't fully commit, but overall Niall was brilliant."
