The Opel sponsored GAA/GPA All-Stars have announced the shortlisted nominees for the May Player of the Month awards of the 2016 season, in football and hurling.

The nominees are:

Football:

Niall McNamee (Offaly)

Ronan O'Neill (Tyrone)

Martin Reilly (Cavan)

Hurling:

Niall McMorrow (Dublin)

Derek McNicholas (Westmeath)

John O'Dwyer (Tipperary)

The winners of the GAA/GPA Opel Player of the Month Awards for May, will be chosen by the inter-county playing body and announced ahead of the presentation in Croke Park on Wednesday 8 th June 2016. Players are short-listed by members of the All-Stars Steering Committee and the winners selected by the county playing body. Each winner receives €1,000 and a trophy.
