Team news: Carlow U21s to meet Laois

The Carlow team to meet neighbours Laois in the Leinster U21HC quarter-final at Netwatch Cullen Park tonight has been named (throw-in 7.30pm).

Manager Johnny Nevin has assembled a strong side with a number of last year's squad eligible again, including senior stars Ger Coady, Kevin McDonald and James Doyle. 

The Barrowsiders edged out Laois at the same stage in Portlaoise twelve months ago before coming within a whisker of shocking Kilkenny in the last four at tonight's venue.

Carlow (U21HC v Laois): Jack Barron; Paraic Coughlan, Ger Coady, Michael Malone; Eoin Redmond, Sean Whelan, Adam Dunne; Kevin McDonald, Aaron Amond; James Doyle, Sean Brennan, Conor Foley; Liam Galway, James Kelly, Ted Joyce.
