One game at a time approach suits Cusack

Clare coach Donal Og Cusack believes it will be impossible compare Sunday's NHL final with the Munster SHC clash between the sides in a few weeks.

Cusack whose appointment to the management team has coincided with an upturn in their fortunes is adamant that you have to take it each game as it comes and therefore he is not looking to compare Sunday's final with the provincial clash.

"They are two totally different games," Cusack told the Clare Champion. "I know it's a cliché but I am a firm believer in taking it one game at a time.

"There is no other way to approach this and if there is, I don't know it. Waterford, over the last year especially, have come of age as a team. I am not a gambling man but I know they are favourites with the bookies.

"They have been one of the top teams in the country over the last two years. The upcoming games are two totally different competitions. The championship is totally different; there is a different feel to it."
